Pricing, NDIS & Private Rebates

We understand navigating NDIS and private rebates can be confusing.

NDIS & Disability Nutrition Support

As an allied health professional, Rachael can provide disability-related nutrition supports under the NDIS. If you're an NDIS participant, or the parent or carer of one, nutrition support may be more available to you than you realise.

As a Certified Practicing Nutritionist (CPN), I'm a degree-qualified, clinically trained nutrition practitioner recognised under Australian legislation to provide primary care nutrition services, including for children, young people and adults with disability, developmental disability, and neurodivergence.

Who this is for

You may benefit from NDIS-funded nutrition support if you (or your child) experience any of the following alongside a disability or developmental difference:

  • Selective, restrictive, or highly limited eating (including ARFID or ARFID-like presentations)
  • Sensory sensitivities around food, textures, or mealtimes
  • Constipation, reflux, bloating, or other gut symptoms
  • Faltering growth, weight concerns, or suspected nutrient deficiencies
  • Feeding difficulties linked to autism, ADHD, or other neurodevelopmental conditions
  • Difficulty maintaining nutrition routines across home, school, or support settings
  • A need for parents, carers, or support workers to be trained in implementing nutrition strategies day-to-day

What I can help with

Nutrition support under the NDIS is broader than a simple meal plan. As your CPN, I can provide:

  • Comprehensive nutrition assessment — looking at diet, growth, gut symptoms, and environmental factors
  • Individualised nutrition care plans — tailored to developmental stage and family routines
  • Nutrient deficiency correction and supplement prescribing — where clinically indicated
  • Sensory-informed food exposure and dietary expansion strategies
  • Practical, everyday strategies for managing mealtimes, hydration, and food variety
  • Parent, carer, and support-worker training
  • Reports and documentation for your NDIS plan reviews
  • Collaboration with your other providers (GPs, therapists, etc.)

I work on a neuro-affirming, family-centred approach. The goal is to reduce mealtime stress, support comfort and growth, and help you and your family feel confident managing nutrition day to day.

How funding works

Nutrition support can be included under Improved Daily Living or Improved Health and Wellbeing in an NDIS plan. I see self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants:

  • Self-managed: you pay for sessions directly, receive the invoice and you get reimbursed by the NDIS.
  • Plan-managed: your plan manager pays invoices directly from your NDIS funding.

Questions before you book?

If you're not sure whether nutrition support fits your NDIS plan, feel free to contact me. I'm happy to talk it through before you commit to a booking.
